EUDR

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to ensure that products placed on the EU market do not contribute to global deforestation. Effective implementation is important for achieving environmental goals while maintaining efficient supply chains. The regulation should take account of regional differences and recognise countries with strong forest governance and established sustainability practices.

FFIF key message:
EUDR implementation should be risk-based, proportionate and recognise existing sustainable forestry systems.
